Interstitial collagenase (MMP-1), 72kDa gelatinase A / type IV collagenase (MMP-2), and 92 kDa gelatinase B / type IV collagenase (MMP- 9) dissolve extracellular matrix (ECM) and may initiate and promote angiogenesis. |
